Traceability and transparency

All suppliers looking to engage in a business relationship with Desigual must go through a certification process and commit to meeting our strict and responsible standards regarding working conditions and the environment. Our Sustainability and CSR Strategic Plan includes our commitment to strengthening the transparency and traceability of our supply chain, as evidenced by the publication of our list of Tier 1 manufacturing suppliers.

Our membership of amfori and Sedex allows us to constantly measure and improve the social and environmental performance of our supply chain through the BSCI and SMETA auditing systems.

Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics

All suppliers who want to work with Desigual must comply with the requirements laid out in our Code of Ethics (CE) and Code of Conduct (CoC). In addition to this, the company regularly monitors suppliers through the combination of third-party audits and its own channels, thereby guaranteeing that all suppliers meet the required standards. The most significant improvements made in 2021 included the data reporting system and the broadening of sustainability-related requirements.

To ensure that our supply chain complies with these requirements, we have designed a Compliance programme.

  • Assessment tools: which help us to understand and measure the level of compliance of our suppliers
  • On-site audits carried out by a third-party entity
  • Self-assessment forms through an online platform
  • Tools for improvement: to help our suppliers correct any non-conformities detected in the audits and assessments
  • Action plans
  • Specific training
